Guys, for now I've decided to screw off on the effects and I'm going to move forward on the purchase of a relic(ed) 5150 guitar. I don't know what is wrong with me. My Warmoth hasn't even shown up yet and I'm moving into another guitar. And I have to say that the 5150 will be a surprise for my wife. I don't think I'm going to tell her.........I need to come up with a good lie, a real good lie.

I always used to go for the .............. 'I was abducted by aliens and they gave it to me' story .......... never fails.

It's always a nice bonus to see the family when they come and visit you in hospital too. Although it takes quite while for the bruising to clear up.

I think it's time for a visit to Gear Anonymous, but you could just mingle it in with the rest of your gear and when she ask "where'd that come from" say " that old thing I've had that one forever

I actually have a Kramer here that is a total piece of poo. I think I'm going to tell her that I'm going to send it to the US to be painted. She'll be alright with that......and probably won't notice the shape of the headstock when it "comes back".......I hope.

You know admitting an addiction is the first step towards a cure, could also get you closer to a divorce, too

Man I must be lucky! Amanda has never once complained about me buying a new guitar whatever the cost or however frequent! LOL Even when it is real pricey stuff! Last one I got (the Garrison) she even said "Oh, a new Guitar? How much was it? I'll pay half for you if you like" !!! Result! What a woman!

Well, to be honest, my wife is really good about my hobbies too. She's never complained when I buy a $5,000 cue stick or what have you. She's always been supportive of my guitar playing too. Comes to all my practices and never misses a show. Hell, she bought me my Music Man for Christmas a few years back. So, I'm not totally afraid to tell her but since I just bought this Warmoth stuff and it hasn't even arrived yet, she would probably say something to me about buying another guitar so soon. Although the other night when we were at the guitar shop they had a used Fender Clapton model and I told her I was thinking about buying it. She really didn't say anything except "Are you sure you'll like it?"

I think her biggest problem with me buying guitars is that I get bored of them so quickly and end up selling them. She loved my Wolfgang Special and every chance she gets she reminds me that I'm an ass clown for selling it. Her only comment when I bought the Warmoth was "Make sure you get something that you're gonna stick with." God love her. I hate to say this, because it was a x-mas present, but if she hadn't given that Music Man to me as a gift it would be long gone by now. I only keep it because she bought it for me. hehe!!
