I have some inside info on some stores in trouble that would the general public cringe if only they knew how bad things are!!! I knew about MFI and Woolworths January this year from a friend and he told me that as soon as those 2 went expect about another 10 very well known names to go very quickly!!

I think Woolworths had it coming to them though. It was a general store, and all of these individual specialist shops were too much competition for them.

i used to work for a music/entertainment store similar to zavvi, called music zone. before that it was mvc.

there was a guy who got a job at mvc a few months before it closed down, and a few years later he got the job again in the same store, but under it was now Music Zone, which went into administration a few months after.

after that it was bought by another cd/dvd company called Fopp, and again he got the job back after a couple of months, and guess what? our store was closed and the company went bust.

even more surreal, two months ago he started working at Zavvi.

if a short bald man with glasses called Gav ever wants to work with you, say no!
