Hell, what a world. Heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the sick, twisted, cowardly bastards that bombed London today. It puts my small concerns in life into perspective.

Hoping for better times

Have to agree with you all what makes fanatic cowards do sick things to innocent people like you or I it could have been any one of us going to work!
Another cowardly act of people who have no tolerance for others I am shocked and disgusted to think that people like this can live with themselves just shows you how dangerous fanatisicim can be !

Seems such a shame that "A Few" can make so much damage, despair and heartache. Terrible really and always leaves me wondering why.

its been coming for a long time...

if they want a war then they should just ask instead of being so underhand... that said.. they dont have to ask!

This is terrorism guys, the most effective form of warfare. It ain't fair and it ain't nice but it works. Mostly the terrorists always seem to win in the end because the only way to deal with terrorism is to out terrorise the terrorists, and that ain't easy, you have to find them first

You are so right Ron they don't have all the know how like the others so the only way they can reply is like blowing themselves up the cheap way!!
Of course it's wrong because the innocent suffer the likes of you or I fanatics don't care they see others as a means of hitting back at Governments!! It is a sick world that we live in and sadly terrorism will get worse but what can we do to change it we are but a drop in the ocean in the political world corrupt as it is!!

Like everyone i am sick of what these bastards have done. i just don't get it. They think our governments supress their countries but it is corruption within their countries that does it. they only have two classes unlike ours ie: wealthy and dirt poor. Now I think it is strange that alot of these nutcases are from the better off famlies!! Do you think in their twisted minds they are actually to trying to preserve their corrupt society...certainly that is how the Taliban seemed to operate.

Anyways lets keep going and not let the bastards grind us down.

All in the name of religion....as these sick people claim........these pathetic idiots destroyed the Giant Buddha statues of Bamiyan...The religion prohibits worsipping idols....but it also encourages to respect other religions...where is the understanding of the latter fact? I truly don't understand these people. They are only out to agitate. I was so proud that music was a cause for changing people's mind( Live 8 ).But I now think it had held no significance because of this rather dreadful occurrence. Sad day for all of my family indeed upon seeing what happened on BBC. My heart is with those affected and perished.

July 7th is my birthday. Its bad enough they had to do something like this but whyd they have to do it on my birthday? I guess it could be worse my friends birthday is 9/11.

There are 365 days in year so it has to be someones misfortune to have birthday on same date as bad event....whether its 9/11, Hitlers birthday etc

"Why did they have to do it on my birthday?"

Why the hell did they do it at all???Your birthday clashing has bugger all relevance

our guys still don't know what to do!
and just as tragic is the brazilian guy that got shot on friday

however it does draw the line under it now that if they suspect you, they are going to get you.
our biggest underlying problem is the bloody european human rights act its so open to abuse by clever lawyers

I think a bigger problem is 1 in 4 muslims living in England were polled this week and sympathise with the terrorists.

Rick
24-07-2005, 02:00 PM
yep that could also be an issue!
thing is though bombs kill muslims, jews, buddists, christians, pink people green people dogs cats you name it!

where i live its maybe 50% split with muslims and there is a divide, mainly it seems with younger people.
guess there isn't an answer, move to the moon maybe!

Stew

there is definitely a problem within the muslim community. My wife was born in Pakistan and brought up mulim but luckily her parents were quite open minded and she certainly dos not practice this now but can you imagine a religion where people are afraid to codemn acts like this. where one day your sister could simply dissappear because she refused to marry some lad form bcak home who could hardly write un Urdi never mind speak English. where 50% of your population (females) do not even get an education unless they are from a well to do family. a religion where you move to a good democratic country like UK and have the local Mullah from the mosque coming to your business demanding money almost like a protection racket.

There is something not quite right with this behaviour.

Yep, I guess so, it's just such an immotive issue and easy to get carried away. Easy to post something without thinking it through giving the wrong impression. I'm sure Mike meant nothing by it too so apologies for the "hot headed" reply.

Hang on lads lets leave religion out of this web site it has nothing to do with music and many of our members from other countries are muslim!
They also do not agree with what has happened with these terrorists we have also sometimes not made it easy for them too.
I think we should not let our feelings get carried away with our emotions this may be your personal opinion which is ok but lets keep to the music stuff and end the whole thing now here !!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to post this picture of the poor Brasilian's family who was mistakenly shot by the police we are so sorry for them they are victims of circumstance. It touched me deeply when I saw this picture the sting of death has hit another innocent family and we all feel your pain I am sure!

Thanks for sticking up for me rick.

Wow, I never came back to this thread until tonight because I just made the comment in passing and didn't think it would even get a reply. I'm very suprised to see what a commotion was caused by my simple statement.

I assure you I meant no harm.

That being said, as was pointed out there are 365 days in a year and I would rather that bad events such as these not happen on my special day. Is this selfish? Maybe. But that is how I feel. Now my favorite day of the year has a dark connotation to it were before it did not. In case you couldn't figure it out the 7771 in my user name is my birthday. A day I've always loved and now anytime my birthday is mentioned people will think of these events.

Sorry so many of you were offended. But that doesn't mean you should jump up my a$$ about a simple comment.
