Well, the official thread is closed to replies so I'll get this one started if anyone wants to say anything.
Now, none of us are obligated to donate and Rick and whoever else is involved will probably find a way to keep the place going. I just wanted to voice an opinion.
Since joining this forum I've met a lot of good people, virtually of course, and have learned quite a bit. I think I've added to discussions from time to time and have probably helped a little on the tech side of things.....not to mention my All-Star post on the Music Man guitars. hahahaha!!
Not only have I had a great time posting here and talking with you guys I've also gotten to a point where I can record my music and am not afraid to post it up for all to see. Everyone around here has been extremely supportive of everyone else and I can't recall even one time where someone has ragged on someone for their playing. In all my years of playing guitar I've purposely avoided jam sessions because I was afraid of messing up and being laughed at behind my back. Thanks to the great members of 6stringheaven.com I am happy to announce that I am going to be attending a jam session on May 9th and I plan on participating as much as I can.
I'm more than happy to donate a little to keep this site up and running as it is a connection to some great people that I am proud to call "My friends on the guitar board"
Hey, times are tough right now and not everybody may have enough wiggle room right now to spend that extra cash. But hey, even a dollar helps. If we all put in a dollar that would be......pretty many dollars. hehehe!!!
Thanks to Rick and everyone else involved in keeping this place here. And thanks to all of you other guys for keeping it "alive".
