Interesting stuff.

Zappa mentions this kinda thing in his book, and uses it to explain why certain chord pregressions, as used in a great majority of pop songs, have a sublimal effect on our brains to 'make' us like them. And there was us all thinking we had a choice :-)

I saw a show on PBS about how music is hardwired into our brains. Even in the womb, we hear music and are affected by it. It has something to do with nuero-chemical stimuli. The interesting thing is: it is different according to which part of the world you live. I bet if he did that in China, India, or any country where the musical culture is different to what we know, the results would be different. Very interesting though.

Tell that to Chad Coggin, and he'll rip your friggin' head off, lol. Don't say I didn't warn you...

...Hence the reason why I don't like to argue with people who think they're all that...

HUH? That makes no sense.

1. What's there to argue about?
2. I just found a youtube video of him. He is a dinky guy compared to me. LOL!

I don't know what your getting at. I just stated what I saw on PBS.

BTW- Bobby McFarrin was an expert source on the show I saw. If I see it again, I'll get the name of it and post it.

Bobby McFerrin was in the creative chair for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra here in Minnesota for years. A very smart individual......

Very good find Stempy. I was amazed that people adopted this so quickly and that the pentatonic scale flew out naturally....
