What a deal? Roaming around the flea market a few days ago and came across a completely stickered and corroded Ibanez RG470. Missing a saddle on the trem (and trem bar) and has one replacement tuning machine (which itself needs to be replaced). Needs one of the the back covers too.
I took all the parts off and let all the screws soak in vinegar overnite, polished the frets, removed stickers, cleaned and cleaned. It's looking great. Sounds nice too!!!
You can't beat that deal for $25!!!!
Now I just need those parts! Evidently its pretty tough to find someone that wants to sell just one tuning machine. And nobody seems to have the kind with the two prongs (instead of the Gotoh types). Also the saddle on the trem, I can only find gold ones on ebay. I may end up getting the gold one. It'll look like it has one gold tooth!
