So, a long time coming but we have a three way U2 challenge...
I've not played for ages and it shows.. I'll make the entries secret and reveal the winner in a week or so.
Thanks Eric and Robert! Those who know us will no doubt work out who is who... LOL

Nice job guys! You both captured The Edge very well. In his own way, he's like Angus. Simple with his style but makes it sound complex.
Well done!

maybe we should change the method of voting. I know lets have a referendum
I dont think the voting reflects the fact that all 3 of these entries are pretty damn good and deserve some credit for the effort and playing ability put into them.
This is the one reason I dont like guitar playing to become a competition. I doesnt give a fair reflection of how good people think these are, and those that dont get votes can be sat there thinking 'I thought I did okay, but obviously I am crap' which couldnt be any further from the truth. All great efforts guys and I appreciate the talent and effort that went into each and every one of them.

Thanks Neal and well said.
It does not bother me though. I actually like the competition part. For me, it drives me to do better. Especially when going up against very skilled players. I totally get your point though.

I was really impressed with the other two entries and its actualy pretty hard decision cause both are tremendous. On the other hand I'm still trying to figure out why there weren't more entries in this. It really wasn't a hard challenge the U2 thing is really just alot of reverb and delay the chord progression is pretty simple. After another couple of hours of listening to the other two I should have a vote...I think:eh:

lol I didn't because I wouldn't not ever come close to a u2 sound. And all 3 would fit a u2 song which I know I could never get close to...lol its just not my cup of tea

There is one stand out track but like Zap says the others deserve some cred too. Great tracks guys.
Only reason I didn't take part is I hate U2, sorry guys :-) can still appreciate your playing though so well done.
