I am in the middle of building a Telecaster, and I suppose I shall post some pictures of my progress.
Here is the glued plank and then the cut out body:



I ordered a Warmoth neck:




The wood I used is Cherry. The plank was $55 unglued, which was the most expensive the exotic wood store had. If you can tell, it has birdseye and flame/quilt figuring scattered across the surface, giving it a very unique look.
The neck is high grade flamed maple. In the picture, it looks quilted, but its actually one of the most beautiful flames I have ever seen. That cost $272. I just recently cut out the neck pocket, and ordered the parts. Most of the hardware is chrome from Warmoth, and the bridge is from Callaham. $75 bucks just for the bridge
