This is a copy of an email I sent to some friends that couldn't make our gig the other night. Thought you might enjoy.

The Duct Tape Incident
Brewster's Saloon gig.

WoW!!!! Ya'll missed an awesome show! It got off to a rough start, not musically, but because we didn't have any duct tape! The owner wouldn't let us play until we duct taped some cables down, Ron (the sound guy) ran to Lowes 5 minutes before we were supposed to go on. He said he was running full speed through Lowes screaming "Where's the duct tape!!!!"
The owner was getting on edge after having already told us, "You MUST start playing at 9:30!" Good thing he was understanding and a little messed up!
When I got there at 7ish the place was packed. I couldn't even get a parking space. Friday nights are 75 cent beers! Unfortunately we lost a few people due to the late start (and the 75 cent beers stopped at 9) but it was still a good crowd.

Kelly was finally in pretty good health (still not 100%) and he sang his Tush off! We did this gig with the fill-in drummer, Lee, from Detour and he was awesome as usual.Toward the end of the night people started calling out requests and we managed to pull off some stuff that we've never prracticed and one or two that I've never even heard before! Kelly seemed to know everything people were asking for. Grand Funk Railroad, Marshall Tucker....
That was the first night I've had strangers come up to me to tell us how much they like us. After we were done the owner told me we were "great." Check this out....a guy came up to me while I was packing equipment and said, "Don't I know you?" I didn't recognize him and told him so. He said, "Weren't you in my Narcotics Anonymous group?" Oh my God!! I told him it definately wasn't me!! He went on to tell me how good we were. A friend of his is in the band Surreal. They're supposedly really good and he was impressed with us so we must have done something right! People were dancing like crazy so we extended several songs until people started dropping. We pulled off an inpromptu version of Rock N Roll by Led Zepplin and people went nuts. We extended that song to about 10 minutes!!! All-in-all an excellent night! I still have a warm fuzzy feeling!...or that could just be the medicine I just took for my sore throat.
I was told told their crab cakes were awesome but didn't try one yet...

Next stop: Brass Rail...
