I have just got the Amplitube Fender plugin for my PC and have been knocked out by how good some of the amp models are. Having grown up with a complete obsession for a certain tone as produced by welsh guitar magician Micky Jones. I have always tried to emulate his sounds. He used a Gibson SG through a Fender Twin reverb and a binson echo unit. Well I just fired up the Amplitube Fender and within a couple of minutes managed to dial in a similar tone.
I have also been trying out the Spectrasonics Trilogy Bass plugin. So I thought I would throw together a little dittie to show some of the sounds.
Now you all know that I am a complete tech-head but I am always looking to use the technology to get me real world sounds. So thats what I tried to do here. This short track isnt anything special but it'll give you an idea of how a few of these things sound.
